The adjuster / keeper plate must be fitted as shown to ensure that the harness straps do not self loosen after fitting and adjustment.
If the adjusters are missing from your harness, its likely due to the following:
– They were removed when cleaning the harness and have been misplaced
– They were not fitted in accordance with the instructions and have come adrift and been lost
When adjusters are missing, it’s likely that the webbing straps have been knotted:
– This is inappropriate and means the harness straps cannot be adjusted properly, this could be unsafe for the user
– Untie knots and flatten the webbing using a hand held clothes steamer
– Then tension and pull the webbing across the edge of a table or surface to flatten
– Do not use an iron as this will damage the webbing
